(12,157 posts)Does boston bean like being told that the proper word is they're and not their? My point is that we humans often will get defensive when we perceive an attack. Our positions become more entrenched. What does work sometimes is for the person to get a view from another perspective. Maybe it will be sexism by a friend towards wife, sister or daughter.
BTW: I don't care that you wrote their instead of they're. And when I mix up then and than we will be more than even (or is that then??).

(12,157 posts)I would like to say that my wife, the love of my life, is from Connecticut where she assures me PERFECT English is spoken, not like in other states, especially Texas. I had a one day visit in Boston and fell in love with the city.
