I've never agreed with her 100%, but have always admired her as a strong progressive. This tweet is absolutely pitch perfect.

(42,862 posts)She's one of us! She STILL makes Maryland proud!
She knows who the real enemy is... and it AIN'T DEMOCRATS or the DEMOCRATIC PARTY!
She's REALISTIC. She lives in the real world. She's no fool, but it's obvious to me that she doesn't suffer fools lightly.
I can't imagine that she'd EVER "boo" at a Democrat (or allow anyone at one of her events to do that either.) Frankly, she's just got too much class for that!
She's a LOYAL and HONORABLE Democrat and I can think of more than one politician who needs to improve themselves and their sour outlook by trying to be more like Donna Edwards.

(11,256 posts)To see someone try and push for progressive policies from within the party, as opposed to demonizing it whenever and wherever possible (except for when it can provide a platform to run for President).
Someone who hasn't spent the last week insulting the party, including the DAY BEFORE a pivotal election that Democrats poured their hearts and souls into.
I live in MD, and would be proud to support Edwards the next time she runs statewide.
