A 10-minute Chinese/Korean history lesson over dinner (a lesson biased, no doubt, in China's favor) caused him to reverse his stand on forcing China to be responsible for NK and on labeling China a currency manipulator. He knew nothing about China or Korea, and he was so ignorant that he could not even tell what was fact and what might be propaganda in Xi's little history lesson. Thus he repeated without qualification Xi's claim that Korea had always been part of China, which of course ended up offending our South Korean allies.
He knows nothing about international trade, or about how tariffs can affect it.
He knows nothing about NATO, so he presented Merkel with a bill for what he thinks Germany "owes" us for NATA.
He has no clue about how undocumented immigrants contribute to our economy, or about how he will harm American agriculture with his threats against Mexico.
