He was distinctly unpopular with other Confederate Generals as welll as Jefferson Davis. As Confederate credentials go combining Jefferson and Beauregard is almost a contradiction. Amazing this family managed to breed at least 3 times.

My wife is an Alabama girl. Both of us graduated from an Alabama university as did our daughter. We have lots of relatives in Alabama.

We talk with most of them weekly.

First was the Alabama governor and his girl friend. Then came Judge Roy Moore. And now Jeff Sessions.

Our Alabama relatives are hiding their heads in shame . . . one brother said he's going to buy a set of California license plates so, when he goes out of state, no one will know he's from Alabama.
