What a CROCK: A crocodile hunter gets eaten by crocodiles

Just when you think there's no ying & yang balance in the world, the guy (Scott Van Zyl) who sold a guarantee hunters could kill 9 fifferent species, winds up on the menu.

According to Yahoo News
[center][font size=5]
Man who made his living killing African wildlife gets eaten by African wildlife

https://www-yahoo-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/tech/man-made-living-killing-african-wildlife-gets-eaten-000029146.html

Scott Van Zyl made his living taking wealthy clients on “safaris” for the sole purpose of bringing home trophies like leopards, zebras, wildebeests and even lions. Now, investigators in Zimbabwe believe that Van Zyl ended up on the wrong end of the predator-prey relationship, and DNA tests have confirmed that he was attacked, killed, and eaten by crocodiles while on a hunting trip.

If it's so legal and regulated, they why are animals on the precipice of extinction? I have know many people that have gone on highly regulated camera safari's and tours. National refuges throughout Africa don't have near enough guardsmen to protect highly endangered species.

Most go the slaughtered animals are killed for their tusks, fur, spleens, tiger penis' so insecure little guys can get a hard on.

The amount of damage that done in the world because people think it's soooooo kewl to have a lion head on their walls don't create one ounce of sympathy when they have lived by the sword and then die by it.

They aren't responsible regardless of how many animals died.

The wife may have been trying to get the hunter to stop for years.

Most are on 'Private Preserves' - as was this one. The $$$ from the wealthy sociopathic clients that want to KILL Beautiful Animals goes into the owners pocket.

Sometimes Mother Nature strikes back.

I am not shedding a tear for anyone who is killed by an animal while trying to make a trophy of said animal, reptile, bird or whatever. Fuck that. Kill for greed and pleasure and I'll celebrate your end.

Not all hunters are equal, IMO. He got what was coming to him, just like the bull-fighter who gets gored while torturing an animal to entertain people.

Joyful, even. There are far too many humans on the planet, and we need to be culled both for our own good, and the good of the broader ecosystem. It's good that the scum go first, especially when they die at the hands other life, and in turn become food for that other life.

It was

Scott Van Zyl: hundreds.
Crocs: 1.

And there will be re-matches. Someone will take Van Zyl's place.

There's money to be made.

Otherwise you're implying that every animal species is either an herbivore or a carrion eater.

My very first post! I truly believe humans are upsetting the natural balance of this planet by overpopulating. We are not leaving enough wild spaces to allow the other species of plants & animals to survive. And every species that goes extinct diminishes the planet & makes it less likely that we will survive. African wildlife, like other parts of the world, is mostly disappearing due to habitat loss, poaching & human-animal conflicts. But trophy hunting also plays a part. For one thing, trophy hunters are, duh, hunting for 'trophy caliber' animals. That means they are taking out the biggest & best from the gene pool, which is bad for the species. Killing the strongest & best leaves the rest of the pack, pride or herd vulnerable to other prey animals & death. But trophy hunters don't care. They are rich, selfish sociopaths who get a thrill from killing a living creature. There is nothing noble or brave about them. And the money they spend mostly goes into the pockets of corrupt government officials who do not give a rat's ass about their country or the environment. So when one of these entitled assholes gets killed doing their dirty business, I celebrate. May it be a warning to other hunters.

I just loaded up a few YouTube videos yesterday with E.O. Wilson.

Haven’t watched them yet, he advocates setting aside 1/2 of the earth for conservation.

How to save life on Earth, according to E.O. Wilson
