So Just Where Would Donald's 'Effin Wall Be Built?

On the Mexican side of the Rio Grande? - Illegal
In the middle of the Rio Grande? - Impossible
On our side of the Rio Grande? - Essentially seceding the river to Mexico and screwing all of the farmers, ranchers and others that depend on it.

Is this being discussed?

It would be build on the US side and it will require taking the land of ranchers by eminent domain to build it.

There has been stories of people who voted for Trump and would end up having their farm stuck between the rio grande and the wall in the no-man's land area. Needless to say they are not happy about it but they are so stupid they would still vote for Trump.

I don't think that will ever happen. It will take years of legal wrangling to acquire the land over 1500 miles of wall in order to build it.

Yes, extensively.

As you point out, it is not as if a wall can be built in the middle of a river, which makes it necessary for such a wall to follow a path inside the US along a route determined by the local geography.

This puts the wall on land owned by thousands of individuals along the border.

Who did he promise the contract to?

He does not care about fulfilling campaign promises.

No Border district Senate/ House members support it.

Alternative security concepts have been offered....

He wants an appropriations/funding commitment ASAP...

Why?

Because he promised to funnel that $$$ to someone.....
knowing that he will be long gone when people realize it......
