the wall of the old Time building..anytime people would attempt to cross during the run we made mincemeat out of them...shouting at them..DO NOT CROSS...locals know not to cross....

Races are not only meant to be competitive for the top people, but also encouragement and participation for the slower among us. A community event that invites spectators and pride. That wouldn't happen if they were routed thru alleys and around garbage dumps.
Races like Boston also inject money into the local economy.
