It was during a Reuter's interview, just reported as breaking news on the Rachel Maddow Show.
If he attacks North Korea, hundreds of thousands, up to a million people could lose their lives in the blink of an eye.

(5,810 posts)So tomorrow....if we're all still here.....the tRump apologists will be out there telling us what he really meant. Explaining it all away, if they can. There is so much BS floating around in this cesspool of lies, distortions, deflections and distractions, it's no wonder tRump wants to flush it all away.
You could tell by Rachel's response that it was sickening to read that tRump quote. Starting to get real, people.

(61,690 posts)a president should never say publicly. He's already scared my teenager. If fighting actually breaks out, I'll be having to calm him down until it's under control.

(5,810 posts)He speaks without thinking of the consequences or the implications. Previous presidents were usually cautious about anything that could cause controversy. tRump got used to saying pretty much anything he wanted during the campaign without ever realizing how different it is once you're in office. I cringed over the things he said during the campaign and fully expected violence to break out. Now it is a whole other matter.
We have good reasons to be anxious and worried. I was a kid during the Cuban Missile Crisis and still remember the fear I saw in my father's eyes. So once these things start brewing, you can't help but worry and think of the what ifs. I hope it all blows over so you don't have to calm your son's fears about a nuclear war.
