Wouldn't it be easier to give him his own forum?

(CNN)Sen. Bernie Sanders and President Donald Trump don't agree on much, but the Vermont independent says that if the President is genuinely coaxing China to help moderate North Korea, he is "doing the right thing."

(18,220 posts)If Trump washes his hands after taking a trump, I will agree he did the right thing.
If Sanders compliments him for using both soap and water I won't say he's turned to supporting Republicans.
Neither means I am putting either one on a pedestal and forming a cult of personality.

(4,407 posts)together in the party without making it all about Bernie...
I'm focused on what his supporters are trying to bring to this Party, and if we discuss how to become more unified on some of the social/economic issues rather than the personalities, we might become a more successful party.
The problem with just focusing on Trump is that it allows people to not focus on what needs to change at home.

once their work is done everyone keeps doing just like they wanted ad nauseum.

(24,401 posts)Unfortunately they wish to force the entire board to read his every utterance instead of posting in their own group. There would be less vitriol here if there was less in-your-face pushing of everything Bernie in the Main Forums.

3 OP's commenting on OP's that comment on Bernie:
THIS ONE 17 replies
https://www.democraticunderground.com/10028975606 15 replies
https://www.democraticunderground.com/10028992504 21 replies
This is based on going back through the last four pages of OPs
There were also a couple that focused on issues of abortion and Democrats that involved Sanders with either a slightly pro or con slant but which overall mostly explored the issue. Also one on a law suit filed by some Sanders supporters that the Senator was not involved in.
I note that OPs with high reply counts are, naturally, constantly being bumped to the top of the GD forum while others are more likely to sink far faster. That is an objective observation. I will also note that the strong majority of replies on the anti Bernie intended threads are by people who are also critical of Sanders. I am wiling to call that a subjective observation.
So I conclude that Two threads that are positive toward a Democratic caucus member for attacking the Republicans is not unusual for DU, when that politician is high profile with a lot of support. Three Meta threads about how that politician is being discussed here is unusual. It seems clear to me that this meta discussion is being driven by the unusual number of threads trending on DU that are critical of a politician (Sanders) who is covered by DU rules about not bashing leading "Democratic" figures - and by the fact that those threads continually are bumped up on the first page of the GD Forum.
