My wife asked me last night why the press carries on as if Trump isn't under FBI investigation, why they seem to normalize him, to treat him as if he was, in fact, the POTUS like Obama was the POTUS.

The simple answer is, until an indictment is handed down, he is presumed innocent, and the media has no choice but to show a modicum of deference.

On the other hand, in my opinion, the FBI investigation should be taking center stage for any conversations about Trump's presidency. I venture to guess that a Democratic president would be scrutinized in that manner.

And you're right, they hung Hillary out to dry.

I truly wish they would temper every news report about Trump with the fact that he is presently under FBI investigation. It would at least put everything in perspective, and call into doubt his legitimacy for every act he takes.

...because EVERYONE in the Rethuglican High Command did not expect tRump* to complete his term... I would not be surprised if somewhere in Rethugliland they don't have an office pool going to bet on how many days tRump* serves and what day the first subpeona arrives.

Pence* was ALWAYS going to be the "presidential" one that stepped in to preside over cleaning up the tRump* mess... unfortunately Pence* and his handlers aren't the best and brightest.
