Why do I smell Russia/Republican propaganda pushing the "Greedy Obama" meme?

2. Works for me.
BTW just how much of that money will the Obamas give to charity and their foundation?

7. Oh and now it is about race?
Geez I just think the appearance is bad, but apparently the slightest criticism of Obama and the critics are racist russians.
Such mature analysis... Thanks. |

10. Well let's see, shall we?
White men get speaking fees and nary a controversy.
A woman and a black man get speaking fees and suddenly it's cause for concern. The math is not advanced calculus. Damn right it's racism and sexism at play! |

15. My dislike of this hasn't got a damn thing to
Do with race or sex. And yes, I'm hoping we start moving harder to the left because wealth disparity is turning this country into a third-world nation.
But then again, maybe this ia another thing that will help mobilize the "harder" left and they'll come for the primaries... |

22. For a "harder" left turn, there's a senatorial seat in Vermont where it might be worthwhile...
...primarying the incumbent, just to shake things up a bit. You know, like the incumbent himself likes to suggest.

14. The "'appearance" is bad? Not to me.
In fact I think it's great.
I think it's fantastic when wealthy liberals or popular liberals speak to Wall St and tell them to do better. The assumption that it is inherently bad to accept money for your talents or reputation is offensive. The assumption that speaking to them is somehow him bending over for them is ridiculous. Why shouldn't Obama share his wisdom with Wall St, because of petty concerns among the hard left and hard right? No matter how you look at it, the whole dust up is ridiculous. |

17. Pls get off the repug/Sanders talking point meme and research CF...
and Why he accepted that firms invitation to speak — at a healthcare conference btw, one of Obama's pet issues.
IMO Sanders and Warren both owe Obama an apology for their knee-jerk reactions. Has Obama over 8 years earned some trust in his judgement, especially from us progressives? He has donated hundreds of thousands to charity and he may well donate some or all of this money. Whatever private citizen Obama does however, it's none of our business. |

13. I don't need to blame the Russians, but they're known to maximise silly concerns.
Just read the article, I wouldn't qualify it as "Russian propaganda".
But I'm sure RT will find someway to turn this into a headline. |

6. Ruth Marcus is hardly a Russian agent.
One may agree or disagree with the practice of ex-presidents being paid large sums for speeches, but disapproving is not evidence that one is a Russian propagandist, bot or troll.

Thanks for the link. DiFi looks like she's staring into the heart of darkness, doesn't she? Served America all these decades and lives to see treason in the Capitol.
