Motivation or Persuasion

I doubt we are going to convince many Deplorables to abandon Trump. To believe otherwise is the height of folly and will lead to us to waste time, money, resources, and energy. We need to employ a triage system to the Deplorables, similar to the triage system used in hospitals. Those that can be saved we try to save. As for the rest, which the research suggests is over ninety percent of them, we leave to their fates.

Ninety three percent of Obama voters voted for Hillary. This suggests the number of Persuadables are small. The former won because he did a better job of motivating our base. That is the goal for 2018 and 2020.

Trying to convince a Deplorable to abandon Deplorabilism is as futile a mission as convincing the nice person at the bus stop who gives you the latest edition of The Watchtower to become a Roman Catholic. Deplorabilism is a cult or if you prefer, a religion.
