1. Good, I hope he gets sick and they withhold medical treatment

Because that is science.

2. Well, Joe, facts can change science...

but have ZERO effect on religion.

7. That's really not possible

Religion is based on faith, science is based on facts.

10. Hey Joe, stop treating Mika like she's a worthless idiot.

We know she's your current partner (or latest trophy, given your usual MO); you're still not entitled to belittle her on national TV, asshole.

And no, ridiculous tweets griping about respect for knowledge and learning are not going to make people forget what you did on air last week. You're abusive. And science is not a liberal conspiracy.

12. Fucking idiot.

We believe the scientists because their statements are supported by FACTS. That is not analogous to why people believe in Jesus, Buddha, etc. People believe in religion based on faith, not facts.

13. Scarborough apparently didn't read the whole article being discussed.

He never made it past the twitter argument to read the actual article the scientists were disputing over.

15. The main reason people deny the reality of climate change (IMHO) is that the changes are

usually framed as predictions (the rising of the sea levels, e.g.).

And humans are naturally skeptical of predictions, even unto their own peril. The story of Cassandra is not for nothing.
