"He likes playing on his soccer team in New York, they're all of his friends."

Trump laments family’s heavy burden, criticism from media

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/apr/30/donald-trumps-family-bears-burden-president-says/

“There is no question, it is a big burden on the family,” the president said in an Oval Office session.

Since the inauguration, Mrs. Trump has been criticized for just about everything, including her glamorous official portrait and her decision to live primarily in New York City until Barron finishes the school year.

“She’s been terribly abused by the press, really unfairly,” the president said. “She’s a high-quality person. She’s been amazing for the country.”

“I have a son who’s a very young boy — he just turned 11,” Mr. Trump said. “He’ll be taken away from his school and be put into a brand-new school. He likes playing on his soccer team in New York, they’re all of his friends, and you know he’ll be taken away from that team. We didn’t want to do it in the middle of a season.”

"Amazing for the country"

It reportedly costs the New York Police Department between $127,000 and $146,000 a day to protect the first lady and her son, and the Secret Service last month requested an additional $60 million in funding to protect the president and his family.

Families move, children make new friends, and 11 isn't "very" young!

There isn't any law on the books requiring any local law enforcement agency to provide security for members of the "First family" on a permanent basis, that is the job of the Secret Service!!!

It's unfair that the people of NYC have to foot the bill, because two people are in a loveless marriage, and they have a spoiled brat, who will one day grow up to be as much of a grifter as the rest of his over rated family!!!

never went to the same school 2 years in a row until he was in the 10th grade. My sister and I used to play "moving day"....we'd load up the doll house furniture into one of our brothers' toy trucks, move the truck around for a while, and then move the furniture back into the doll house. Kids are pretty resilient. It's not lost on me that Trump doesn't spend his weekends in New York reconnecting with Barron and Melania and spending quality time with them, but rather avoiding them altogether, golfing and rubbing shoulders with fat cats in Palm Beach. He's got his nerve trying to play the Barron card.
