Wouldn't it be awesome if Elizabeth Warren did a DNA test, something like 23 and me. And then become a spokesperson on a commercial for this product. If she did have DNA for Native American, she would be vindicated. Otherwisw, if none showed up, she could say, "I always thought we had Native American ancestors, but...". A lot like the commericals that are out there now, where people are wrong about their ethnic backgrounds (it happens a lot).

Either way, it gets the Pocahontas crap out of the way and acknowledged, in a fun manner. So, WHEN she runs for presiden this wouldn't be an issue.

Or perhaps has and didn't release it because it didn't.

It's a complicated issue to say the least. It looks more and more like she doesn't have any native bloodline that is traceable to any degree, certainly not enough to claim tribal membership.


But, I know more than most how oral traditions can change what is what over the years. My mom was Lumbee, she was raised to understand she was Native and I was raised to understand I was half native. But as I researched my roots in the modern age I learned that many historians long believed that the Lumbee were not an actual native nation at all but descendants of freed African and mixed race peoples who found it advantageous in the south to claim to be Native Americans instead of mulattos because it came with slightly less oppression. And now with DNA we find that among those claiming Lumbee heritage African DNA is often much more represented than Native American DNA is. So am I really half Native, or am I half African American who has not lived a day as a Blake person ( although most white people assume I am all or half black)?

And anytime I've answered that question before I've always claimed Native American and Pacific Islander or Asian (depending on the choices given). Was that fraud?

take the test - go public with it. Embrace it. Fact is MANY people think they have some type of ethnic background and are mistaken. This wasn't fraud on her part at all, and Trump using it is ridiculous. The Trumpsters eat it up. I want her to take it and use it so that she eliminates his assaults on her. EVEN if it shows nothing. The commercials show this happens often.

9. Why should Senator Warren have to "prove" anything?

She knows what her family history is as I know what my family history is. I too am part Native American and I do not care to receive money for it nor compensation for it. It is over with. Period.

She has cared to use her identity in the past and adheres to the same meme today.

Leave her the hell alone. Perhaps it is a horrific past that she doesn't care to bring up which I for one can certainly understand.

10. To unarm Trump,

To unarm Trump, Warren needs to go there. If she ignores it, he'll keep using it. It's like finally confronting the bully, sometimes you just have to do it.

In a perfect world, this shouldn't be an issue. But Trump's branding is cunning, and the Dems need to strike back and be just as cunning.
