Forgiveness of student loans--is there any type of program that forgives

student loans if the individual does some sort of work that benefits society
(if I may use the phrase in this day and time)? Such as, working with
underprivileged groups, working at something like Habitat for Humanity?

VISTA, Americorp, the military, and some specialized programs for medical personnel are all I know of.

When I got mine in 2004 it was like $4900, I think it's up to $5500 now.

can forgive the rest of the debt entirely. Give 10 years, the rest disappeared.
