I sent it an hour ago but I live in the reddest district in Texas so "Marvelous" Marv Thornberry will be a yes on it. He is a joke , he will not even hold a town hall. He says that he does telephone town halls but only with supporters that have land lines. I have sent him my cell phone # but I see no hope of being included.
I see no chance of the healthcare bill passing in the Senate however!

He either has had the surgery and seems to be able to "fly in" for the vote, thus he can work.
or
he has not and I am curious as to why the delay in this "emergency".

I don't think it was ever a question of his not being able to come back to DC shortly after the surgery; rather it was that the House is only in session Monday through Thursday afternoon this week and then on recess all of next week. So he figured why bother coming back for part of a week when it didn't look like much would be going on. Now that his vote might be needed, he's coming back for that.

Of course, this also confirms that those who were convinced that he wasn't coming back were mistaken about that.

Given the chilly reception some of the repubs are getting back home, I wonder whether they'll even bother going back to the district.

It wasn't too long ago that my governor, former congressman Nathan Deal, was under an ethics investigation but delayed his resignation just long enough to cast a vote against Obamacare. He still resigned (minutes before the ethics investigation report was due).
