This...he does it all the time! White power sign.

I have not seen him do it--but I only found out a while ago-this was a white power sign.

That and the way he says 'our'. Nails on chalkboard. It's the content not the style I realize - still the whole package is cringeworthy

For some reason it just bothers me to no end - I can't put my finger on it. This was even before I had ever heard anything about it being a white power sign. Maybe it's just because I hate him, but for some reason that little mannerism drives me insane.

I don't know why it gets under my skin so much. Maybe it's because he is a fucking idiot and the gesture makes him seem to be a person who is saying something intelligent and important. Like he has so much conviction in the truth of what he is saying when everything is all just a lie.

Just because some white power crotchstains decided to try to hijack it, doesn't mean they co-opt it by default. The percentage of cretins using that as a white power symbol have got to be outweighed in a huge way by the rest of us who have been using it innocently for years.

It's a Pepe the frog thing that evolved to this, seriously. There's a Pepe the Frog meme with the OK (Google Pepe the Frog OK sign) sign they used to use, then it evolved. I've been on Twitter for ages and I've watched it evolve into the racist adding this into their handles 👌🏼 to be more obvious assholes.

Pretending it's not a thing is just foolish, and in denial. It's real, it's sort of new, but it's real.

making a circle with your thumb and index finger with the other three fingers seemingly forming a "w" is a pretty common "sign" -- probably best known as the sign for "ok" or "aok". It wouldn't take long to find photos of all kinds of people making that sign.

Do I think Trump is a racist? Yes.
Do I think his making that sign proves anything? Not really.

https://www.adl.org/blog/no-the-ok-gesture-is-not-a-hate-symbol

Has the simple thumb-and-forefinger “OK” hand gesture become a white supremacist hand sign? Well, no, it hasn’t, but you are likely to hear just the opposite from social media, thanks to the latest hoax from members of notorious website 4chan.

The site 4chan is an anonymous discussion board with an outsized cultural impact on the Internet. It has been responsible for everything from the “I can haz cheeseburger” cat meme to the concept of rickrolling. There is little that 4channers like so much as a hoax and in recent months they have served up a number of fakeries with white supremacist themes to largely credulous on-line audiences.

The “OK” hand gesture hoax originated in February 2017 when an anonymous 4channer announced “Operation O-KKK,” telling other members that “we must flood Twitter and other social media websites…claiming that the OK hand sign is a symbol of white supremacy.” The user even provided a helpful graphic showing how the letters WP (for “white power”) could be traced within an “OK” gesture. The originator and others also suggested useful hashtags to help spread the hoax, such as #PowerHandPrivilege and #NotOkay. “Leftists have dug so deep down into their lunacy,” wrote the poster, “We must force [them] to dig more, until the rest of society ain’t going anywhere near that s***.”

Following the cues of the hoax’s originator, 4channers created fake e-mail and Twitter accounts and bombarded civil rights organizations, journalists, and others with messages furthering the “OK” hoax. Some of the hoaxers were possibly racists or white supremacists themselves, as parts of 4chan are something of a haven for them and the site itself has been a source of adherents of the alt right segment of the white supremacist movement...

The white power assholes are copying Trump's mannerisms. The K symbology is all bullshit, but young "alt-right" people started copying it as a sly in-joke. Being alt-rights, they're down-low racists, then more openly racist people joined in.

Shorter: alt right trolls are copying Trump's mannerisms because they think it's funny.

but it's important to be aware, from our end, so we're not looking like idiots for catapulting this ridiculous idea that every time someone does the "okay" sign with their fingers they're really trying to signal "white power".

In the other thread someone said "it's like all that illuminati sybolism in the music industry" "oh, yes, I saw a video about that, yes yes very serious business indeed"

Uh, yeah. You're being played, hello.

And for the record, I certainly smoked out of more than a few apples- technically that is a pipe, not a bong, if you want to get semantic about it- back in the day.

Frankly I found the old two foot fiberglass Graphics (before they became "graffix", back when the base was still a felt-covered can with colored pebbles inside it) delivered a much more satisfying experience.
