They actually believed someone with no experience in government and no knowledge of the macro nature of that job was suddenly going to reverse decades of job flight from people running companies just like he does. As a CEO that i actually know said when hearing that companies must bring the jobs back (and this guy donated to Bruce Rauner's campaign, so he's no liberal), "You first, Don."
