(9,350 posts)So, was Colbert saying a gun should be put in Trump's mouth? If that is what he meant than he should at least be suspended. Maybe he would not have been fired if he had done this during the Obama years, but Obama supporters would have called for him to be fired and for the Secret Service to pay him a visit.

(9,350 posts)I thought the word you blocked out was F'ing. So I thought the sentence might have ended with f'ing holster. I was not sure whether Colbert was saying Trump should kiss Putin's butt, suck his penis, or have a gun put in his mouth. The holster thing tripped me up. I thought Colbert may have been talking about a gun. Claiming that Trump is a penis holster is not worthy of being suspended or fired, especially considering how Trump has acted the last few years.

(36,823 posts)but I am apparently one of the few here who did see it as a homophobic statement (I don't think it was a purposely homophobic statement on Colbert's part, though).

(9,350 posts)In the post that I replied to one of the words was missing. I thought the missing word was f'ing. So I thought Corbert was saying Trump's mouth should be Putin's f'ing holster. I thought Corbert might have meant Trump should have a gun put in his mouth. I have since learned that the missing word was cock. Knowing that, my feelings are different. That statement does not rise to the level of something that should get someone suspended or, fired
