To sum up Comey's logic - anyone correct me if I'm wrong

Bill Clinton meeting with Loretta Lynch on the tarmac in Phx is suspicious thus the information on Hillary Clinton must be given out to the American public even though there is NO evidence of wrong doing.

tRump officials meetings with Russians, while suspicious, does not rise to the level of suspicious activity that should be given out the the American public.

I am not sure how ANY logical person can argue that there are only two consistent actions:

1. Release information on both
2. Do not release information on either

EDIT TO ADD:

Option 2 is the ONLY valid option that upholds the duty of his office.

1. Agreed

And the strength of his tone when he talks about her emails leads me to believe he really really feels strongly about that issue. He's almost livid when he speaks about it. He wanted the emails on Wieners laptop to be the smoking gun. He wanted it so bad you can clearly hear it in his voice.

I can't believe he didn't have a motive to hurt her campaign. I just can't. Not when I hear the difference between how he speaks about those emails.

2. It's entirely consistent with him being a partisan republican

4. Another Comey logic: if it's bad for the FBI it's bad for America.

Comey has supported his case by saying it would have been catastrophic FOR THE FBI if the public had found out that he had not released the information about the Weiner emails.

So let's look at what happened when he didn't release information about Trump's Russian connection. A connection that was not just maybe in some new found emails but had been investigated for months on actual evidence of impeachable offenses.

The upshot is now that we now have an Executive branch that is totally compromised and the suspects are running the investigations.

5. Exactly

His only defense is that a partisan decision was made.

One good thing it that he admitted that a JUNIOR lawyer on his staff brought it up to him that there may be a belief that he was impacting the election.

I emphasized JUNIOR because he did, thus pointing out the person will remain a JUNIOR and anyone on staff with similar beliefs will remain a JUNIOR.
