(21,925 posts)Some of the greatest actors and screenwriters in Hollywood contributed to that great anthology series. I don't know if we could see that today, although Masters Of Horror was a pretty impressive effort.
But I can't mention Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone without also mentioning its summer replacement show, Way Out. Produced by another fascinating personality, Rouald Dahl, Way Out was an even edgier, stranger version of the Twilight Zone. Episodes of Way Out have finally started getting posted to Youtube.

When these were shown for the first time I used to sit on my mothers lap I was so scared. Then I had to beg my older brother to go turn on the bathroom light so I could go in there. Too scared to turn that light on myself when Twilight Zone was on.

(5,609 posts)Now if someone could only convince SyFy to bring back the original Dark Shadows series, I would be a happy girl!
Pretty please, SyFy? Or we can let our fingers do the walking over to Chiller channel...
