(22,026 posts)Trump's Twitter feed is the insight into his inner being. It is the clearest view of his idiocy.
Granted, whenever he speaks, he demonstrates his ignorance but the tweets are the perfect vision of his insanity.

(17,301 posts)Based on the fact that his lies are documented there and easily tracked, I thought it would be a means to hold him accountable. However, it's been proven many times over that his supporters don't give a shiat whether he is a con or not. Meanwhile it infuriates the rest of us.
So I'd be happy knowing that he'd be doing a slow burn if Twitter took away his beloved tweets.

The 60+ votes in the Republican-controlled House to repeal the ACA have always been about demeaning and delegitimizing President Obama. The fact that they'll hurt many millions of Americans is simply icing on their cake.

(6,916 posts)The tax cuts are the big thing. Most Congressional GOP are now in the pockets of the GOP donor class - the Koches, etc. And the GOP donors have one big common central issue -- destroy government for tax giveaways to the very wealthy.
(Demeaning Obama is nice too, that's definitely part of it.)
The other big factor is that GOP has been running on destruction of "Obamacare" for several elections and they need to deliver SOMETHING to pretend they're not ineffectual.
Josh Marshall at TPM has covered the politics well, I think.
