Ban congress from group insurance

Since the GOP thinks their healthcare plan is so good I have an idea. Ban congress from group policies. Make them buy individual policies only based in their home states. If the have a pre existing condition and their state lets insures discriminate then they are fucked just like everyone else

and nobody else has the authority to change their benefits. I agree in principle but it won't happen because there isn't anyone who can make it happen but Congress. And they sure as hell won't do it.

This is just so wrong. That they should all keep their insurance while dooming millions of Americans to death.

The remedy is to vote their greedy asses out of office. That's all they care about anyhow.

And I believe that they will be required to get individual policies if the new program actually becomes law.

So it would be a group policy, even under whatever mess Trumpcare turns out to be. They did try to exempt themselves entirely (and stay on ACA), but somebody noticed and there was a big uproar. But even if they end up with the same insurance as the rest of us peons, they are all well-off and can afford the premiums anyhow. And those costs will be offset by their nice tax breaks.

they haven't for years.

They still get the same federal subsidy, however (72%) if they choose the gold policy on the DC exchange. If they choose anything else, they get no subsidy.

Nothing less would be sufficient punishment for what they have done.
