Thu Jul 5, 2012, 12:13 AM
Jul 2012

I feel like his agenda and policy proposals are antithetical to the way I was raised and to the way that I view this country. I view this country as fair, as a house that's built from the bottom up, not from the top down. Have you ever seen a construction agency try to build a second floor to a building that does not have a first? It's impossible. I believe citizens come to the government as equals, not as rich or poor, or gay or straight, or campaign donors versus non donors. I'd like to have a President that truly reflects these values: That we are all equal, that we should all have the opportunity for success, that this country is run by all of us and not just the very rich, and that happiness is commodity to be shared by all. I feel like this man would lead us down the wrong path. A path where the rich control the poor and poor are miserable and penniless. I think he would like to see the working man suffer by denying him health coverage, eliminating his collective bargaining rights, and reducing the social safety net that is set up by the government. I mean no disrespect to the Governor of Massachusetts but he is simply the wrong person for the job.

I really to like your post, and agree with it 99% of it. The 1% is in regards to your last sentence! I don't understand how a once successful Governor of a state, think of, create, implement the exact same thing as the affordable act, aka Obama-care, have it be SUCH A HUGE success. Have a future President of the United States look at it and say, "that is fair, equal for the rich and poor alike" and create literally a mirror image of Massachusetts health-care, to turn around and say "no, it's no good" "it is different" all in the name of being able to sit in the oval office everyday for 4 years!!

I think we have that President that true reflects the values that you talk about. Unfortunately, the "other" side whom are predominantly middle aged, WHITE, male, most have been born with old money in there mouths, wouldn't know what working your ass off for 12 - 16 hours, day in and day out, living month to month is even like! I still say, the biggest issue, that "they" won't admit, is the fact the President Obama is black, it doesn't matter wither he is 1/2, 1/4 or whatever, by looking at him you know he is of African decent. Oh no, there not gonna admit that this "black" guy is a hell of lot more intelligent, has what it takes to be a awesome leader of a country, put Barack next to any of them..... It is obvious shut up, sit down and let the man do his job without a hard time!! Barack Obama 2012!!

They admitted it.... a long time ago, make Obama a one term president! That has been there goal from day one! We have got to get out there and talk to our friends, get them REGISTERED, oh yea, pictured ID, do we have to give a urine sample yet? next it will be a DNA sample, but get them out there to vote. We can not allow the republicans in the oval office! It is kinda comical watching the different candidates for the Republican bid on the Presidency!! Mitt Romney is the best they could do?? I guess.... look at the rest of them?? If they do make the oval office, I would be looking into some sort of fraudulently obtained votes. The only thing about Romney, he has the less skeletons in his closet, oh yea another positive for Romney, he created and implemented a health-care law in Mass, that is the best in the country. I mean really compare the two, Romney compared to Obama....... too funny. He makes Obama look like a saint! I can't wait for the debates, Romney doesn't have a chance!

That new show, "Undercover Boss" shows exactly how out of touch those "upper-crusted" people are! There is one thing that is on their mind, protecting there piggy bank, cause they ain't gonna share!

Just saying.....

I don't question the fact that DU's going to play a major role in re-electing Obama.

I'm expressing frustration and fatigue over the media spending a week "going all ooey-gooey" over Romney's New Hampshire vacation.

So you've completely misread my intentions, and in a rare (for me) display of restraint, I'm not going to get in your face about it.

You don't know me and / or you haven't read many of my posts. That's OK. I'm going to respect your wish to leave you alone by putting you on my ignore list (you'll have to do the same with me if you really want to be "left alone" by my future posts).

Seriously. People insisted that Obama didn't have enough experience when he ran in 08. At
least Barack Obama lived in the real world, actually worked and made the world a better place.

Romney is running because he thinks it's his time to be in the White House. He thinks he's entitled
because he's incredibly wealthy. He spent most years as a corporate raider, pilfering jobs and
making money from nothing. He's an idiot. An idiot who is about to drip ice cream on his $1,400

look where that got us -- into a deep recession or depression. Bush didn't know what he was doing. Romney knows even less about what he would be doing.

Bush relied on two old hands in our government -- Cheney and Rumsfeld. They were horrible choices for any government, but as corrupt as any member of a US government has ever been. Cheney did not even resign after he shot a friend in the face "by mistake"?

Imagine who Romney will drag into his cabinet. I am afraid to think of it.

We don't just vote for the president. We vote for his/her choice of aides and cabinet members and judges. Romney is just not qualified.

Commerce. Having Mitt Romney as a Chief Executive is as close to having a multinational conglomerate run the country as we'll ever get. Some people may think that's a good thing while others think it's a bad thing, but we may as well be honest about it. Libertarian crackpots love to call Obama a "puppet of the NWO," but they don't mean it literally. Mitt will be the first LITERAL puppet of the "banksters." As close to a human sock puppet as it's possible to get.

The individual with whim you have presented us is no fuck knob. Nay indeed, I hear you do a grand disservice to fuck knobs everywhere, even to the long, proud profession of fuck knobbery itself. Generations of fuck knobs have passed their traditions of fuck knobbing down from father, to son, and sometimes from son to housepet. Good sir Vespucci, I must stand in defense of fuck knobs and ask that you retract your crass and undeserving statement.

Jul 2012
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/01/14/mitt-romney-s-life-as-a-missionary-nearly-killed-in-a-car-accident.html

The story begins during the U.S. war in Vietnam, when the 19-year-old Romney—who had protested during his year at Stanford in favor of the draft—got a deferment to travel to France in 1966 to seek religious converts to Mormonism. Romney spent much of his time trying to get a population of largely secular Catholics in Bordeaux, Le Havre, and Paris to believe that God chose Joseph Smith to found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even then, he wasn’t very successful in convincing people about his deeply held personal beliefs -- he won only two converts in over two years -- a problem that still haunts him in the presidential race today.

And even then, he displayed the wholesome—some might say goofy—sense of humor, organizational skills, and work ethic that help to explain why Romney was designated an assistant to the American leader of the Mormon mission in France. And that is how, at the age of 21, he ended up behind the steering wheel of a stylish low-riding Citroën DS with the mission leader, his wife, and three others crammed into a car made for five people on a winding road in southwestern France. Another car, driven by a speeding priest, who by most accounts seemed drunk, struck Romney’s car head-on.

Police who arrived on the scene initially assumed that Romney was dead. A photo of him in the hospital later shows him with a cast on his arm and a black eye.) Tragically, the wife of the mission leader did die, and her injured husband departed France almost immediately. Romney, who had been transferred to Paris by then, was temporarily tasked with co-administrating to the needs of 200 missionaries in France until the Mormon hierarchy managed to send a new elder to take the leader’s place.

The car:

Wreckage: Former Mormon missionary Mitt Romney almost died in a car accident in Bernos-Beaulac, France, in 1968, which killed one of his passengers. The Citroen DS driven by Mr Romney is pictured

Recovering in hospital: The 21-year-old Mitt Romney, pictured, was driving from Pau to Bordeaux when he hit a car driven by Catholic priest Albert Marie

The incident happened on a curving two-lane road on which Mr Romney passed another accident just before his crash, reported the Boston Globe.

...Witnesses did claim Catholic priest Albert Marie, 46, of Sireuil, France, was drunk when the crash happened but this was never verified.

...Mr Anderson never sued after the accident as he was worried about a religious run-in with the French government or the Catholic Church.
Local police don’t have any records of the accident because their documents are destroyed after ten years, reported the Boston Globe.
