Take that with a grain of salt. He's a Republican. But he's more sensible than Cruz, Cornyn or Grassley.

He's not nearly as "out there" as Grassley, Cruz or Cronyn. Maybe they use him to look less nuts?

He at least seems to get the scope of what was done against our country. That's a start.

He is my Senator ; not one I voted for , or frankly would ever vote for - but he isn't entirely terrible. He was the first Republican to come out against Trump and refused to endorse him. He never went back on that. He also hates when Trump makes the R's as a whole an embarrassment. He is highly educated too having a PHD in History from Yale I think. In that respect he won't come off as a complete dumbass and may be better at convincing people he isn't so bad. Still, he doesn't push back enough or cast the kind of votes I want.

He's still the official I call most often, because he at least has a firmer grasp of some facts.

This doesn't mean he doesn't totally let me down on a routine basis either. For instance he ran his entire campaign on being anti Obamacare when he came in.

I think he is aiming at the Governor's mansion or possibly even higher. I could see him running as a vice pres with someone like Kasich if they try some sort of primary challenge to Trumpy in 2020.
