(Note: I posted this in another thread, but it was buried; thought I'd toss it out here on its own.)

They open their yaps FIRST every time, usually to someone who isn't white/Christian. They have no filter, or capacity to feel or imagine what another person might be experiencing when they start in with their shit. They are just compelled to rage away, no matter how nutty and intrusive (and blatently racist) their comments are. I've lost count of the number of videos and news blurbs I've absorbed about Trump voters who go after food servers, students, women (anywhere), peaceful demonstrators, etc. with everything from foul mouths to loaded weapons.
Engaging strangers in a confrontational or threatening manner and blathering paranoid, xenophobic streams of consciousness used to be hallmarks of insanity. The only people who did that were emotionally imbalanced and needed psychiatric help.
But now? They form the base of a major political party. And those party members like to repeat (ad nauseam) that "liberalism is a mental disorder"-- they even project their craziness onto others. WTF!

(82,849 posts)When everyone's agreeing, and everyone's having a good time trashing the dumb libruls, they figure their arguments are air-tight, and it never occurs to them that others will stand up for themselves.

(100,038 posts)And most republicans - if their media diet is as toxic as their actual diet, if Alex Jones and Donald Trump are any indication of their followers, they eat a lot of shit, and watch and listen to a lot of shit. So when you put those two things together, it creates a cycle that I like to call "shit for brains". And when you have shit for brains, that is one of the side effects you get is taking your anger out on others.
