We Do Not Deserve Michelle Obama In This One-Shoulder Gown

She is a vision.

After what seemed like an eternity of abandonment, Michelle Obama and Barack Obama are officially back, both professionally and sartorially.

The former president received the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award in Boston on Sunday, and as always, Michelle was there to steal the show support her husband.

Most skin tones look great in "jewel tones", the deep rich colors of nature.Orange and yellows and light pinks, not so much.

With Ms Obama, you notice the vibrant, warm person, then see that she's wearing a nice outfit that looks good on her, and is well-suited for an active, middle-aged career woman. With Ms Trump, there's no there there (she's so generic looking that she fades into the background), so you focus on the outfit, which might be fine on a runway but isn't the sort of thing an active woman would wear. And often they don't look like they fit as well as they should for the $$$ involved.

It is Melania and Trumplethinskin that we do NOT deserve.

Fierce, smart, beautiful, everything you'd ever want in a first lady. I also loved her sense of humor. Taking on childhood obesity was huge. I miss her already.

the GOP wants to roll back her work on making school lunches healthier, under the reasoning that kids are throwing their lunches away. We all know what this is really about, though: erasing another part of the Obama presidency, and catering to junk food companies.

Obviously Ms. Trump can display/conceal and/or photograph whatever part of her body she wishes to display/conceal, but it's amazing to hear Republicans' silence after losing their shit over Ms. Obama's scandalous deltoids.

We need to reach out to them and empathize with them and understand their perspective, even as they work to enshrine their bigotry in law...
