What the F*CK is going on at @nytimes? This is pathetic, condescending, and insulting. Feel sorry for many fine journalists who work there.

What's that about? Who's behind it? I've never heard of such a thing, and I hope it backfires.

They just got a piece of my mind: "Are you serious? Since when does a supposedly reputable news outlet actively solicit praise from its readers for any public official, ever? Just aside from the fact that after wracking my brain I still can’t think of a single damn thing to say about Trump that would be even marginally “nice," the fact that you are actually asking people to do this is absurd, insulting and bizarre. I suspect this will backfire, bigly."

that this is the sort of thing I would expect to read in the state-owned newspaper of a dictatorship. I reminded them that their job is to criticize those in office to get them to do better, not to "praise" them. I pointed out that they wouldn't be praising Hillary Clinton had she been in the White House.

What will people consider praiseworthy? Will it be vague "He made America great again" propaganda? Will we get a look at what his supporters consider great? Will they get the ever-loving crap trolled out of them? What will they choose to print?

Do we actually WANT him to be focusing more on his job (insofar as it involves him doing bad things that hurt people)?

President Trump is very open: Not a thought enters his mind that he doesn't blurt out immediately.

Is that positive enough?
