More changes at MSNBC

Steve Kornacki's daily slot from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m has been given to Nicolle Wallace, the former communications director for GWB, for her new program is, "Deadline: White House."

Kornacki has been named national political correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC, and he will be a regular contributor on Wallace's show. as well as making cameo appearances on NBC’s “Today” and become the primary fill-in host for "Hardball with Chris Matthews."

The conversion of MSNBC continues apace. Joy Reid used to do a lot of fill-ins, but it looks like she's getting squeezed out.

Can't they see which way the wind is blowing????? I'm no fan of Kornacki but I would sure have liked to see him replaced with Joy or someone mildly progressive.

but it doesn't make any sense to me. Trump's approval ratings continue to drop, people are running away from him in droves. Advertisers are responding to Sleeping Giants on Twitter and removing their ads from Breitbart.

maybe we need to make a concerted effort NOW -- not sometime in the future, AFTER more stupid changes have been made -- NOW to bring pressure on the advertisers to support objective and honest broadcasting.

He's basically executing on a plan he already had that had a kink thrown into it with Trump's presence giving high ratings to the liberal shows like Maddow.

... because they program Joy, Rachel, Lawrence, etc.

If they stop putting on good progressive/liberal viewpoints, I will stop watching. Simple.

They clearly have SOME model in mind they are following, since it is always just about the money at that level ... it just isn't one I have ANY interest in.

I view them less favorably every day.

Shame.

Nicolle Wallace is no Trump fan and either voted for Hillary or wrote in someone... just my guess.

who are classy, moderate type Repubs with some sense of integrity. Both of them railed against Trump during the primaries and general election, and (as you stated) may have voted H or write in vote.

That said I agree, would love to see Joy Reid have a permanent show, especially in prime time.

Joy Reid really is the voice of the modern day rank-and-file Democrat, who is more the Obama/Clinton style pragmatic progressive, and a fighter.

I agree with giving Joy Reid a bigger role.
At least I don't think Nicole Wallace is a big Trump cheerleader.
Bring back KO!
