The Malignant Narcissist miscalculated big time by firing Comey

Because his problem is that he has no idea how other people function. He, like his ilk, who he has surrounded himself with and who he has appointed to destroy our government can "read" other people and that's why they're successful. Except they're blind to certain characteristics in normal human beings. They can't read people who are honest an who have principles of right and wrong they live by. People like Sally Yates for example.

Because Trump thinks the way he does he assumes that everyone is like him in that they're selfish and self-centered to the point that if they get what they want they'll be happy and free of any weaknesses such as the integrity to stand on principle or to question things that don't entail logic. He can read the lower and baser instincts because he has them himself. Integrity, or the sense that something is wrong in spite of one's personal opinion or preferences is impossible for him to read.

Trump and the other psychopaths he's surrounded himself with truly thought that because Democrats wanted Comey fired that we wouldn't question Trump's agenda if, after all, he did what we wanted anyway. That we would be so pleased that Comey was gone that we would just move on with our lives. It never occurred to them that we would question the timing, the motivations and the about face that Trump was exhibiting. That the principle he was violating would mean anything to us.

His problem is that we can see him for what he is now. We all know what he's doing. But he still thinks he has us fooled because he believes he managed to control the conversation again by deflecting what we were all talking about.

He's the one who has a tin ear when it comes to honesty and principle, and knowing right and wrong.

even if Trump resigns early next year, it will still be about a year. That would be half the time of Watergate. What will happen, no one knows, but the stage is set for the full play. Trump has now hurt the head of the FBI, and he did it in a mean vicious way..Not even telling him ahead of the press. Finding it out on TV like the rest of us....

...And he has hurt others, many others..Time will tell and hopefully we will all see the end of this awful play.

Anytime MSNBC goes 4 hours straight without commercials, you know something big's up. And I say that without irony.

Trump is stupid. And a liar. As dishonest as they come.

He's so stupid that he doesn't realize that nearly two years of insulting everyone except the dolts who were too dumb to realize he was conning them, his shenanigans would come back to bite him in the butt.

Enough is enough. The world is watching.

The Women's march which was estimated to be the largest ever in Washington, DC alone and it was all over the country and in other countries too.

The marches against his Muslim ban crap - also all over the country and in other countries.

The March just recently for science with hundreds of thousands.

And the other dozen or so marches in between.

And then there's the Republican Town Halls regarding the Repeal and Replace the ACA.

Americans are awake. Young and old.

From their perspective, the just cut the head of the snake.

Only avenue to address this was the FBI, they will put someone in now who will shut it down.

From their perspective... means they have miscalculated that there are more than just the FBI looking into the Russians. There are multiple investigations going on. Congress is one. He can't fire Congress. It is his co-equal but the Senate can impeach him. Whether he likes it or not.

Hell! We can't even impeach them ourselves. All we can do is vote against them.

Right after he dropped the "revelations" about the new set of emails under investigation (that of course turned out to be a tempest in a teapot), I said that no matter who wins the election, Comey's finished. No one can properly trust him any longer. Hillary sure can't trust him to be non-partisan, and Trump can't trust him to be loyal, because what he did for Trump was, itself, an act of disloyalty.

If Trump had ditched Comey right after the election, he might have gotten away with the "It was because of the Hillary thing" that they're trying to peddle, but not now. It may even have won Trump some bipartisanism points with the media. But the sudden firing now? No way. His reasons are transparent and obvious. If they really cared about how he treated Hillary, it would have happened a month ago.

But I think you're right - I think he can't get a read on people who aren't motivated purely by what will benefit them personally, but for whom honor, patriotism and the greater good matter.

I also think this blind spot can be used to bring about his downfall if it is exploited intelligently.

Because Narcissists and psychopaths expect loyalty but don't give it. They assume everyone is loyal to them, but I'm sure many will gladly roll over on him because they're also Narcissists and psychopaths and if it's in their best interest to do him in they will.
