For the Legal Beagles out there, could the Attorneys General of states like NY, CA, CT, Mass, MD, etc. all pool their resources and investigate Trump's crimes? Do they have the legal standing to do so?

(146,284 posts)Further they cannot compel federal officials to produce any documents. They have really serious limitations in their powers when it comes to the federal government.

There are 2 types of "little" (state) RICO cases --
Civil & Criminal
So, while certain types of cases may be federal jurisdiction only....
Both state and federal courts have RICO jurisdiction.
