63% of Republicans still Think Iraq Had WMD

http://www.ips.org/blog/ips/89-of-republicans-think-iran-nuclear-attack-on-israel-likely-63-think-iraq-had-wmd/

Yes, it’s apparently true: 63% of Republicans still believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when the U.S. invaded it in 2003. That, according to a remarkable new survey on foreign policy attitudes of self-identified Republicans, Democrats, and independents that was noted by Dan Drezner in his foreignpolicy.com blog today and released by the main researcher, Benjamin Valentino at Dartmouth College. The detailed poll (65 questions), which queried a total of 1056 respondents and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.18%, was conducted by YouGov from April 26 to May 2.

Otherwise, they would be wrong. It would mean Faux Noise lied to them. They rewrite history so it makes them look good.

You have to be a moron, of course, but even that's not a problem because you can just choose to believe you're not.

6. Those WMD's were never found.

That proves they exist.

But if they were found and had Rumsfeld return address on them, it would prove they did not exist.

8. One more reason why the WMD conspirators should be held accountable

By not putting Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld and Powell on trial, it furthers the idea that maybe there was some truth to the WMD conspiracy to commit war.

12. Shows how successful deregulating our media has been for the GOP.

They've taken full advantage of being able to consolidate the media into right wing hands.

Pretending they still adhere to the Fairness Doctrine by saying showing lies and truth as "both sides" of an argument.

They truly live in an alternate "reality" that is shaped by their lust for power and superiority. Once a talking point is introduced it's pounded over and over, day in and out for weeks and months on end. No matter how divorced it is from fact or reality, the talking point trumps all else...and remains an article of faith from thereon out. When faced with facts the wingnut will go to the old stand-by conspriacy theory as a reason up is really up and not pumpernickle. After being convinced to believe pumpernickle it's all you will believe.

Iran is one of many big lies that still dominate not only rushpublican "thinking" but seeps into the corporate media as well. The big one is how rushpublicans are "fiscally responsible" or "conservative" despite the record defecits run up by Raygun and the boooshies. Nonetheless 40% of the American electorate believes this mantra as well...

It use to be these people kept to themselves, now they are the loudest mouths at the party thanks to Rush Limbaugh.

One of their biggest lies (besides being conservative with money, as their own VP was looting the country with other war profiteers) is that they are for small government.

What the hell do you call the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, the TSA?? What the Freak are they talking about? Oh that's right, health care.

Yep, they love "small government" except when it comes to the military...then we just don't even put the expenses on the books. Or how they hate "gubbermint" until its their "gubbermint" that is affected. They'll gladly accept welfare, medicare and medicaid and feel entitled to it yet constantly harrange against others (mostly less fortunate) as the "entitlement society".

These people can and do live inside their "bubble" (thanks Bill Mahrer) and stay there for daily affirmations. It's to the point where large numbers vote against their own best interests...

Cheers...

14. Thanks to the 'liberal' Corporate media's propaganda 24/7

These same people will be more than happy to attack Iran cause we are helping people and protecting Americans.

This is why we cannot just sit back and let them lie on our public airwaves.

Many DUers say, 'oh I don't watch it'...but millions of Americans do. None of this is possible without the help of the Corporate media. It is the most basic, most powerful tool of the oppressors. And these are our public airwaves they are using to brainwash people into a police state submission.

They are indoctrinated not to think, but to repeat the blathering idiot Repuke talking points. Someone was posting something about a cult in another thread, I'm convinced the Republican Party is just that.
