Did I just hear correctly on MSNBC

That the wash post reporter said people working with the Trump administration are being required to sign a loyalty oath? And that she has a friend who will be leaving her job because she will not sign it?

12. Government employees can't be required to sign NDAs

except to the extent that they are required by the nature of their work not to disclose classified or sensitive government information. They can't be prohibited from talking about their boss or other non-confidential matters.

That wouldn't stop Dolt 45, of course.

8. Fake news distraction about Comey refusing to sign, that much apparent.

Someone brought it up on Chris Matthews, and now the alt-right will troll the series of tubes to no end with this.
Next thing you know, someone will post it here. Oh wait!

15. This was stated on MSNBC

I could not believe I heard correctly, and so checked here. I checked AFTER googling "'loyalty oath' trump" with various time parameters. I wrote the search on that manner to try to exclude the issue of Comey and him reportedly refusing to state loyalty that has come up over the past 2 days.
It came up with some articles from over a year ago about Trump saying positive things about them.
My disbelief at hearing this was because it sounded so out there, and I could not believe that if it was stated in the panel discussion that others would not follow up for clarification.

16. So, you are saying you searched and found nothing, and it's looney, so you posted it.

We weren't born yesterday.

17. If a wash post reporter states it on msnbc

Then to me it sounds like it could be actual news that has not made it out there yet.

19. There is actual news behind this if you take the time to research instead of

passing along a click-bait question right out of the Russian playbook. Try not to be part of trump's distraction army.

20. This article relates to what you initially called

"A fake news distraction about Coney refusing to sign".
It is NOT related to what I heard stated on MSNBC as you will see if you reread my original post.
What was stated on the news specifically said "sign". As the Times article says, Trump was asking for a verbal assurance from Comey.

9. Certainly not legal for any civil service postitions

A bigger question is who has already signed one? AG Sessions, for example?

11. Next step: revise obsolete pledge of allegiance...

"I pledge allegiance to Donald Trump...
president of the united states of amerikkka...
and to the almighty dollar for which he stands...
A white Nation of Christian Evangelicals...
With hatred and oppression for all others
.."

18. The corporate mentality requires such things.

Are we under any delusions that what we are experiencing now is nothing more than a "corporate" takeover of our democracy?

It is only one step along that pathway of the ugly past of fascism/feudalism/despotism/nepotism/theocracies or such things that drive us away from what we aspire to?

Acceptance of such things must be resisted right now, not sometime later, but right now. Glory be to those who face those difficult decisions at this time.
