Why?
Because Rosenstein is the only person in government at this time that has power over Donald Trump. He has the power to appoint a special prosecutor. Trump does not want that to happen. So he will be as nice to Rosenstein as he is to ... Putin.
My hope is that Rosenstein does not fall into the Trump "loyalty" trap and does his job in the best interest of America.

(111,052 posts)Which included VP Pence. Then Trump goes on TV and makes them all out to be liars. He said he was going to fire Comey regardless of any memos. He had made up his mind already. This took Rosenstein off the hook.

(574 posts)I thought you were saying Trump relieved Rosenstein of all responsibilities in his current official duties. Whew! Made my heart race.
Edited for clarification.

(111,052 posts)Reportedly, Rosenstein threatened to quit. Trump said that he alone was responsible and the recommendations from AG and Acting AG had no bearing on his decision.
You edited the title of your OP. I thought that Hair Fuehrer had, in effect, demoted Rosenstein. Totally different meaning.
