3. I left DC in 1969, but was heavily involved

in organizing and working on protests there, even though I was in the USAF at the time. That scene was exciting, frustrating and interesting, no question about it. It's interesting to think back, as a 71 year old geezer, on those days.

I was 13 in 1971 but I knew what was going on. By 16 I was protesting and wearing my peace symbols every day.

There were some very young people involved in the DC protests. Some as young as you were at the time. I remember having to warn some guys to leave the kids alone, sadly. Thanks for being part of all that. It was important!
