I mean, we care. But we already cared back in November.

In order for 2018 to make a difference, lots of people will have to change their minds *and* show up at the polls.

the Democrats cannot take any purported implosion of the republican party as an excuse to not fight tooth and nail in 2018. They need to fight for every vote, and saying "we're not republicans" isn't really going to do the job. (I mean, that's good enough for me at this point, but we live in a country of at least 50% morons, so we're going to have to sell them on the idea of not eating a shit sandwich.)

..of course I'm not confident enough that the powers that be and the people that control the party really get that. Which is why I'm still scared shitless.

Plus, our side doesn't exactly change course easily so if Trump goes, and Pence steps up as "the adult" and the media start calling on Dems to work with him I fear that too many up for re-election or election will just stand there staring slack-jawed.
