(3,827 posts)I look at Mensch as a citizen journalist who shares all of her sources (credible or not). If those sources pan out then cool, if they don't then it's not a big deal. Imagine Trump reading her tweets- Now think of the paranoia going through his mind after he reads them.

(24,324 posts)Thanks to ye ole wiki--
She was named by her parents after Tiffany & Company (her father's purchase of the air rights above the store in the 1980s allowed him to build Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue)
In 2014, while attending the University of Pennsylvania, Trump released a music single called "Like a Bird". She later told Oprah Winfrey[13] that she was evaluating whether to take her music career "to the next level as a professional".[14] Trump has also worked as an intern at Vogue and modeled for a 2016 Andrew Warren fashion show during New York Fashion Week.[15]
Trump is a frequent poster to Instagram, where, as of 2017, she had more than 715,000 followers.[21] Her Instagram posts frequently include photographs of her with friends and fellow heirs and heiresses including Kyra Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; Gaïa Matisse, great-great-granddaughter of artist Henri Matisse; and E.J. Johnson, son of Magic Johnson. The group, whose posed photos are edited by Andrew Warren, has been named the "rich kids of Instagram" by the New York Post and the "Snap Pack" by The New York Times and New York magazine.[

IC & Legal
Which, IMO, adds a bonus point ...
Since hearing it from an IC person and then confirming it with a legal beagle seems more credible than hearing something from a couple of IC or a couple of legal guys..

(8,693 posts)So here in NM, Acoma Pueblo is planning a 118 acre marijuana greenhouse - thanks to China and this program. Personally, I find this bizarro - so the Chinese will eventually own the largest marijuana greenhouse in the US - for now.
Each year, America grants green cards to 10,000 rich investors, the vast majority of whom are Chinese. Is this program creating enough jobs to warrant its continuation?
The massive $20 billion Hudson Yards project is one of the nations biggest development efforts. When its completed on New Yorks west side, it will have have 5,000 apartments, six skyscrapers, and pneumatic tubes for trash disposal. And one more feature of the project: It has paved the way for the green cards of about 1,200 Chinese millionaires.
Hows that? Via whats known as the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program, which allows foreigners to get a green card if they invest a certain amount of money to create jobs in the United States. In effect, rich people can buy American citizenship, and thats made it controversial in an era of wariness about immigration.
Now, Congress is looking at ways to reform the program, even as parts of it are set to expire September 30.

Because he was Director of Volunteers 25 years ago? Yeah. Okay.

(14,300 posts)And the commenters are letting the author know. BTW, who is Bob Johnson?
Claude Taylor built trust over 20 years with people who are well-connected and rose in their government jobs without Taylor himself having to be an intelligence agent or attorney. He can find things out through connected friendships than a pesky reporter who might inadvertently ruin the source's career and not care never could.
For balance, I hope DUers will also read this:

(108,973 posts)for Bill Clinton as the Director of Volunteers, managing a small staff in DC and 3000 volunteers around the world. He's also worked on 3 Democratic campaigns.
He's had plenty of time and opportunities over the decades to foster relationships with people who are in the intelligence community. And "sources" are all about trust and relationships.
Plus, he's willing to stake his real name and reputation on his tweets. He has something at stake in being right.

(658 posts)Claude is extremely reliable. What people do not get is that his sources may or may not be. I don't mean his sources are lying just that I think he pulls from several on different levels and the investigation changes on a dime. Plus, he leans toward hyperbole in his excitement (and desire) to break positive news. He gets some right, some wrong, but for the most part he's on it. And I believe he has integrity.
Although, in the last few days, he's been a bit odd. I'm not sure if it's punchy humor or otherwise. But I've been following him so long I remember when he only had about 5K followers. So, the pressure may be getting to him.
Legit? Reliable? Yes. Does that mean Trump is going down quickly? Sadly, no. I hope Claude proves me wrong!
