Good God, Trump seems to have an inordinate concern about whether "Russia is pleased".

something Putin's been refusing to do because he's just not been particularly concerned about a threat to lightly populated far eastern Russia and because NK's been threatening us. However, NK nukes did recently cause Russia to issue an unofficial but stern and definite warning about what it would tolerate from NK.

So this particular statement might not be quite as stupid as it sounds (not to mistake for competence on Rump's part, of course).

This missile also reportedly traveled about 30 minutes before landing in the Sea of Japan, longer than NK missiles had managed before, and splashed down reportedly somewhat closer to Russia than Japan. NK is developing missiles capable of threatening Russia.

We aren't going to be able to play that wedge card anymore.

The alternative route was to attempt to bring more non-aligned nations into trade agreements. But that's not going to happen either.

that's like "you wait until your father gets home" kind of threat

@CJ___

I am so thrilled that the feelings of Russia are considered in official press releases from the White House.

@chris_baugh_

....which President? Ours or Russia's?

@KathyRK8

OMG. This Russia love just never ends. Trump and Putin need to get a room already.

That healthcare is complicated, that people would think it's corrupt to fire the public servant investigating your campaign, that North Korea is complicated, that people would think it's wrong to give power to your unqualified daughter and son-in-law, that Mexico would refuse to pay for a bullshit border wall, that judges would shoot down a clearly unconstitutional attempt to ban people from Muslim countries that you don't have investments in, that taking away healthcare from millions of people for a tax cut for the rich would be wildly unpopular ...
