Can anyone decode the significance of this tweet, re FOIA, Guiliani?

GLOMAR being "we can neither confirm nor deny the existence of subject"

FBI just informed me it is no longer Glomar-ing our FOIA litigation request for @LouiseMensch re investigations into leaks to Rudy Giuliani.

I thought that Glomar was an oceanographic drilling ship (nt) Orrex May 2017 #7
It was. And a case involving it is what led to the term "Glomar-ize" onenote May 2017 #8

It means they will process the request and we will learn if there is or is not an investigation. Just have to wait and see.

When discussing Freedom of Information Acts (FOIA)" Glomar" means to "neither confirm or deny".
So I guess that means confirmation? Don't know.

It simply means that they no longer are refusing to say whether or not they exist. And even if they are implicitly acknowledging that they exist, it doesn't mean that they have to release them if one of the FOIA exemptions applies.

Glomar became moot. So now they can answer. But what they will probably say is the docs are all exempt at this time because of FOIA Exemption 7(A):
