I have always been against the White House doing daily press briefings and agree that an overhaul of how the communications team deals with the media is in order, Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Meckler said. We are dealing with a media that is, by and large, hostile to conservatives, hostile to Republicans, hostile to ideas of limited government, fiscal responsibility and constitutionalism, and certainly hostile to this president. So the president and his staff should act accordingly.
He isnt the only one or even the first to make the demand. Monday, Fox Newss Sean Hannity called for less transparency from a White House spinning out of control. Instead, he thought reporters should be required to submit questions in writing for which theyd receive a written response. Spicer or deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders would then take a limited number of questions on prescreened topics.
If the White House follows this plan, I think the destroy-Trump propaganda media will have a much harder time misrepresenting the Trump administration positions and you, the American people, will be better served, he said.

(16,423 posts)He's not open to questions.
He only answers questions he likes.
If you do manage to pin him down with a question, he simply switches topics with "whataboutism" and recites memorized facts to inflate the length of his answer.
He's so rarely available to the press, that they are grateful for any opportunity to get anything out of him.
* That's how you get press-conferences where he gets asked what he will have for dinner this holiday.
* That's how you get press-conferences where he gifts a puppy to a girl at the end.
* That's how you get press-conferences where he gifts an appartment to a poor person at the end.
And that's how you get photo-ops where Putin just happens to run into half a dozen beautiful brides who just happen to take a walk in one of Moscow's beautiful parks... with no grooms around. Half a dozen brides in full wedding-dresses and no grooms around. What a coincidence.
