2. I am confident Comey has the "goods".

I do wonder how it plays out.

The media coverage will be off the charts when Comey testifies.

3. No, I think Comey did the smart thing in this scenario by writing down those notes.

He already had been investigating Trump for months, and he did not even want to go to those dinners.

SMART! to record down all the conversations especially since Trump was obstructing justice.

By Trump summarily firing him Comey didn't get to implicitly threaten him by suggesting he had evidence of their exchanges. This actually strengthens Comey's hand when he goes public, that he was forced to reveal Trump's complicity.

8. "Doesn't mean he doesn't have the goods"

Podohoretz writes that about Comey - and yes Comey does have the goods. (proof of Trump's evil)
He can bring Trump down and he's had the goods since before the election.

Why didn't Comey send out a memo about what he had on Trump - like he did about Hillary's emails?
Comey had proof of Flynn and Manafort (probably others) messing with the Russians during the campaign.
Besides that he also had proof of Trump's casinos laundering money for the Russian mob for at least 10 years.

Comey could have said one thing during the campaign and Trump would have been outed.
Instead it was all about Hillary's stupid emails that amounted to NOTHING.

Comey is not to be admired in anyway, he's just as complicit as these traitors in the GOP.

11. Comey did NOT keep memos about discussions with Obama

Reportedly because those discussions were "routine and truthful."

Podhoretz writes for the NY Post.

13. Very speculative with no basis in fact. FBI agents make memos to document criminal conduct, period.

You don't want an FBI agent to create a memo about you and a conversation with you, don't commit a crime while talking to them. Pretty damn simple!

I think Comey is a preening popinjay utterly consumed with his own vainglorious pomposity. Also, he's a skilled bureaucrat. 2/
So he began keeping a memo file. Probably had one during Obama years as well. Kinda like...Hoover. Who had files too. 3/
Maybe he thought when push came to shove Trump would call him to fire him and House of Cards style he might hint at having documents. 4/
The idea here would have been that Comey had to protect the integrity of FBI against extra-constitutional interloper & all bets were off. 5/
But he never got the chance because T fired him in that extremely weird way. Couldn't brandish anything that might make Trump reconsider. 6/
Point here is, Comey is not admirable. Is likely out for revenge. So what. Doesn't mean he doesn't have the goods. Finis. 7/7

I don't care about Comey's motivations. I only care that he has the "goods".
