They're trying to TWIST this, now, that COMEY did wrong by not reporting what Trump did.

Congressman King playing the card that if Comey thought that Trump was trying to interfere with the investigation, COMEY had the DUTY to report that, since that would be a crime, and it was Comey's job to report crimes.

See what's going on here? It's not TRUMP who was in the wrong. It was COMEY for failing to report the President!

1. Maybe he DID send the memo to the DOJ. We don't know.

2. Who was he going to report that to, who wasn't a political appointee of Trump?

3. Comey's actions have nothing to do with Trump's possible criminal behavior. Trump STILL is on the hook.

I hope Comey can stand up to what's coming from Trumper representatives. They're going to go after him with two barrels. And yet, all he did was put down on paper a conversation he had just had. Nothing unusual for an investigator to do.

is highly respected in each of them. His firing -- especially in the manner it happened -- has united the vast majority of them against Trump. Even some of the ones in Rudy G's NYC hive are offended.

All he has to do is show up and tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they may.

He's a straight arrow investigator. He deals in facts and records. Trump isn't used to dealing with people like that.

Trump's brain thinks like the dictator of a company, and deals with building inspectors who take bribes. He has no background in dealing with devoted investigators who try to follow the narrow path of a job, a duty.

If Trump had realized what investigators are, he would have known not to broach that subject w/Comey. Comey & investigators are not politicians, and they don't work for Trump.

I've said all along that a government is NOT like a business. Not at all.

Any time anyone publicly takes such a stupid, wrong position, it automatically backfires. The results will begin to be visible this week.

He announced on television about Hillary he could have damn well done the same about trump. No one could have stopped him. So when that asshole was up there spewing about Hillary he should have confessed about trump. He was in on it also and there is no way around it. He is now trying to correct his stupid decision.

All that's evident, and what I believe, is that he was trying to balance a difficult political position that he had created by openly speaking about the Clinton email investigation before, which he should not have done.

He made a huge error. But I don't think he intentionally tried to sway the election. I didn't think so then, and I don't think so now. And there's no evidence of that.

I too think he should have announced the Russian investigation, but I see his point why he didn't. Because it was ONGOING, and they don't announce ongoing investigations. One reason for that is that it would interfere with their sources they were investigating....people would have been on notice, and changed their behavior.

until they get all the info they can on him so they may discredit him. They are asking for any memo he ever wrote. I think they are going to try to portray him as some kind of lunatic who compiled note on everybody. J Edgar Hoover was known for keeping personal dirt on people, This was probably how he was able to stay in position for so long. But that is different from keeping notes on conversations with people who may be a target of an investigation.

That they will not try to discredit him, but they will focus solely on the memos he wrote about the Clinton emails. They are using the Trump memo as a smoke screen to gain access to the Clinton memos so they can throw up a smoke screen and distract from the Flynn scandal.

However, many of the people he spoke to then were Republicans trying to damage Hillary. There could well be some damaging notes he took on them as well.
