1. But he CAN be removed by his supervisor at DoJ...
So Trump can order Rosenstein to fire him, fire Rosenstein if he refuses, then do the same to the person under him (now "in charge" of the investigation) until he finds someone who will comply. See "Bork, Robert."

But at the moment the press isn't being all that forgiving (thank goodness) and I think that such a series of obvious underhanded maneuvers might really sink him.

Would require extensiv documentation.of wrong.doing, alpng with prior written warnings and then he could appeal. A one page memo won't cut it.

because he has so few Senate confirmed appointees, if any, below the AG's level. There actually maybe some folks with scruples there to refuse.
