I was thinking today -- if Pence pardons Trump, how low will Pence's election numbers go? Very low!

They will be toxic, I think.

But correct me if I am wrong with the following sequence:

Trump resigns (for whatever reason).

Pence then pardons him "for all crimes known and unknown" [or something like that].

Then Pence's numbers go to single digits.

A lot of people will not like the white-haired Satan known as Pence, both Dems and Reps.

Total devastation!

Of course today is different and people have a shorter memory and don't learn from their mistakes.

1-The GOP elites rally around him for 2020.

2-He proves himself to be bland, ineffective and uninspiring, thus making him vulnerable to getting primaried. No shortage of opportunists in that crowd.

I also think if Trump were to somehow survive and decide he wants to run again (a YUGE if), he also might draw a couple of challengers.

He'd have to be dumb as a toaster pastry to not have known.

Hopefully he'll be part of the round up.

He's only being left alone because he's not in the center ring. It will all fall on him day 1 when he's sworn in. No doubt at all.
