Hey what are we calling this scandal anyway?

The Watergate scandal was named after the Watergate office complex. I really don't like it when they just add 'gate' after every scandal. Seems weird to me. What are they calling this scandal? It's very early in the morning this is all I could think of. I know it's bad , maybe you guys have something in mind.

...but that's for lack of something better.

Personally I think we should declare a moratorium on " -gate" references. It's time to come up with something fresh.

Anybody?

The MSM may try to rename the scandal but the public will remember at as Golden Showergate.

carries an almost triple entendre. Trump's Waterloo has a nice salaciousness about it, it hardens back to Watergate and it reflects tRumps upcoming epic defeat and his ultimate humiliation and firing.

Republican corruption. After the endless Clinton associated "-gates" the suffix has lost its sting. maybe we should just call it Russian Cyber Warfare or Republican Treason.

Those terms don't roll off the tongue and will require weak minded beltway journalists and their readers to do a bit of thinking but they're accurate and reflect the seriousness of the issues.

Nothing's stuck, and probably shouldn't.

Notably, we had warning well before the election of collusion among members of the Trump campaign with Russia and that Russia was trying to influence our election. Not just a few on the right knowingly colluded in that, everyone who voted for Trump did so knowing they might be aiding Russia's attempt to throw America into serious internal disarray . How do you attach a shallow, flippant little label to that?

Or at least call the Trump brand to mind. The Trump brand should be forever tarnished and associated with treason - so much so that the family will change their names and attempt to disappear from public view for generations to come.

I thought about "Russia Tower" as a take off on the Le Carre novel Russia House, but that just doesn't fit.
