Right-wing Christians have some insane theories about why the Trump presidency is imploding

Alexandra Rosenmann, AlterNet

The resistance has sparked endless right-wing speculation since Trump took office about who might be behind the movement. But with support for impeachment steadily increasing, many of the president’s die-hard supporters are struggling to explain the chaos that has engulfed Washington. And few are quite as unhinged as the evangelicals in his base.

Here are three of their more insane theories about why the Trump White House is imploding.

1. Jim Bakker, televangelist

In an interview with Steve Strang of Charisma News on Thursday, Bakker warned of an assassination attempt against Trump, given that “the apocalypse has already begun.”

“There’s going to be an attempt on our president’s life very soon,” he stated. “The world is marching in the streets against our president, and it is a war.”

Didn't the bible say something about the faithful being taken in by the anti-christ?

I don't think Trump is nearly eloquent enough to make a halfway decent Antichrist.

with media outlets - or anyone else for that matter - referring to these bigots as right-wing "christians" since when you look at it they do not live in a way that is at all 'christ-like' such as it is written in the bible. I prefer right-wing nuts, bigots, rubes, whatever, but it's always struck a nerve with me when I'd hear some right-wing rube talking about those 'dirty immigrants' and then proclaiming he was a 'proud' christian.

I'm not surprised these theories are insane. Look at the insane shit these scumbag 'preachers' sell their followers every day.

5. Why the fuck is Jim Bakker not still in jail?

He defrauded a bunch of his crazy ass supporters back in the 1980's (or 1990s?). . . He most certainly hasn't changed and is still spewing that insane shit. I'd take this as hard evidence that he was never "rehabilitated." The fuck bucket needs more jail time.

I've seen Last Man Standing--watched several episodes. But, it is not being cancelled because of the apocalypse. It's being cancelled because it's not funny. Tim Allen was good in Home Improvement, mainly cause the cast had chemistry. This new show of his tries to emulate his character in Home Improvement.

Good grief...Jim Baker is still nuts!

I mean just... can Jesus come down and smite all these morons?

The strongest indicator of end times for Bakker was the cancellation of ABC’s “Last Man Standing” last week. The show starred Tim Allen, an anomalyous Trump supporter in Hollywood. Conservatives have blamed Allen’s political leanings for the show’s cancellation, despite offering no evidence to support their claims.

Serious???????????????????????????
