(18,186 posts)we might have made so much progress on getting rid of the evil voting machines.
RIP Andy.
You gave it all for the cause. Evil could not let you win.

(62,325 posts)don't get a chance to do all that they had the potential to do, while those who create nothing but problems, live on and on.
Maybe it isn't really that way, but it does seem like it sometimes.

(18,186 posts)And the saddest part of all is that his work was for all voters - Democrats, Republicans and everyone in between and out of bounds.
It's like the conservatives who stalked and tormented him hated him more than they love the idea of free and fair elections. They'd cut off their own freedom merely to deny someone else theirs.
So much sickness among conservatives, I pity them no matter how long they slither their foul selves along the earth. They live to hate; they waste the lives they were granted.

We lost a great one with his passing.

(10,751 posts)...I remember that's what he always said, he said that terms like "Paper Trail" were not sufficient because it did not have the same legal standing and that we should specifically insist upon "voter verified paper ballots".
RIP Andy

(3,173 posts)In our last conversation I promised him that he would never be forgotten--he was afraid of that. So, since he is who brought me here to DU, to all of you, here is where I ensure his name lives on. (Plus, the day he died I dug a nature path in my back yard that is named Andy's Path.) My son and I loved him and he will live in our hearts forever.

(9,533 posts)A true champion fighting for fair elections and getting rid of these unverifiable electronic voting machines.
When I heard he had pancreatic cancer, I so wanted him to beat the odds; I lost two relatives and a friend to that terrible disease. The odds are already stacked against you with this illness, and to lack healthcare coverage made it impossible.
Andy fought a good fight, and he will always be warmly remembered here.

(3,073 posts)I know he was clapping when Obama won and am sure he is very concerned that we STILL vote on machines that are not verifiable.
And I'll bet he is pleased that so many of us are thinking about him today and sending him love and thanks.
Miss you mucho my friend, Andy- will forever be grateful for the gift of you.
