Do we think all the leaks are orchestrated by Trump and his folk?
How about the ones that are obviously anti-Trump?
Do we think they're orchestrated by people out to embarrass Trump?
Then in that case, if we think they shouldn't be making the leaks, cracking down on the leakers is the right thing to do. But wait, it's oppression and unwarranted, because we like the leaks when it suits us. Not all the leakers, apparently, have our insightful, discerning grasp of exactly when leaks are good for the cause and when they hurt the US. Even this--ooh, it embarrasses Trump and having people potentially opposed to him damage international ties is a good thing. Because it embarrasses Trump. (It should destroy a few people's careers, but they're protected. They're fighting the good fight and discrediting the presidency and US electoral system, firmly fellow-travelling with Russia in her goals. Oh, wait.)
Even when the leaks to the press are of classified information Trump confidentially leaked to folks like Putin (or perhaps Merkel or May) and include information that later, it's said, Trump didn't know but is damning for the damage it causes to international ties. For example, the Israeli intelligence which nobody but reporters citing confidential sources breaking their confidentiality agreements knew.
Now the leaks are good, now bad; now they're obviously from Trump supporters, now from Trump adversaries. Now from low-lifes, now from true patriots.
One thing, though, it's spreading. First stuff about Trump. Then the informant network involving China. Now this. If the leaks are from those out to embarrass Trump, then blame those who signed an oath and think that the word's crap; if from leakers trying to embarrass the anti-Trump leakers, line them both up in the docket and send them packing to prison.
