Obama a communist?
I was talking to some Republicans the other day, and a bunch of them were saying he was Kenyan and a secret communist. I asked one of them why they thought this, and he just got mad and defensive over why I would question him on this, as if I was stupid for not seeing what was so plain and obvious to him. I told him it was arguable that he's a corporatist, as the bailouts mostly benefited banks and multi-national corporations rather than the communist party, but then he asserted he was a commie and said he was tired from doing his political thing all day and walked off. Its just, for me, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. I'm also shocked how many people believe Obama is a communist and Kenyan. I don't really like to get too much into conspiratorial thinking, as its often extrapolation on extrapolation. The theories tend to be based out of real oddities, like pdf being layered, but the conclusions they jump to usually play right into their biases. I think in their case, a lot of them are just racist and can't handle the fact there's a black president.

If things are so messed up that the evil crypto-communists in the Democratic party are going to such great lengths to fuck with the constitution by putting a non-native born citizen in office, I don't think voting Republican is going to fix it. At least be consistent in your line of logic. Wasn't Bush responsible planning 9/11 as conspiracy theorists say (and wrongfully winning the 2000 election and declaring an illegal war under false pretenses which actually was real corruption that's provable)? If the Republican party allowed this, and the Democrats allowed putting in a Kenyan, wouldn't you just be fucked either way? Why should they even participate in politics. They should be down in their bunkers, preparing for the New World Order siege against freedom rather than be concerned with voting Republican.
